Just a quick summary of bugs/issues found using DMSS 1.96.003 on Android with on camera SD card recording:
1. When attempting to view a recording snapshot (e.g. press on Motion: Human HH:MM:SS) if you then press the Play button
the error message: "Connection failed.-IPC". This breaks the downloading process. It should say e.g. " Please wait
downloading video in progress".
2. When watching some alarm recordings the replay start for about 3 seconds, then stops for a while, followed by a video jump
to the last second. Apparently there is a problem with some recordings ( happens in about 1 of 20 recordings). If
it happens with a specific recording you can never see the actual "alarm footage" as it always jumps.
It is not possible for me to reproduce this problem, it is completely unclear why this happens with some recordings.
3. DMSS alarm video loading progress indication is confusing and is suffering from timeouts
WIth low bandwith, the progress indicator goes from 0-100% , then switches the window to black to be
followed by yet another round of 0-100% counting. It would bemuch better to display e.g.
File size: x MB , Download progress YMB e..g start at 4000/0 then count to 4000/4000 and start
the "movie".
4. DMSS does not cache alarm video snapshots on device
Every time you want to watch an alarm, the alarm file is downloaded again and again.... Caching would be great.
