Dahua Camera with water flush

Hi

Looking for some advise regarding a water flush function. Camera in question is a PTZ19245U-IRB-N.

The camera will we be exposed to sea water and therefore need a function to flush the camera with fresh water. Since the camera don`t have this we need to use a third party solution. Ideally we want to start this function from SmartPSS along with the wiper.

Is this possible, maybe send a pulse to trigger this? Anyone have experience with a similar function or have any other suggestions?

No idea. Am curious about setup. What about putting it within waterproofing enclosure?
 
Are you asking to flush the internals or externals? I'm definitely curious as to what you are trying to accomplish. Is it to get the salt buildup removed from the glass in front of the lens on the outside of the casing?
 
The specs says it's IP68 so it's already prepped to be outdoors and splashed on.
Is your goal to rinse the OUTSIDE periodically to rid it of the salt, etc.?
If so and assuming it's close by, why not run a garden hose to it, fashion a spray tip that will wash it off from top-down, activate water manually or with a $20 digital timer (such as weekly or daily for 1 minute).
Use nylon wire ties initially, once the design and function is good, make it more permanent with protection for the hose from UV, replace nylon wire ties with metal clamps, etc.

I was thinking along those lines as well with giving it a freshwater rinse on occasion. I guess it really depends on how much direct contact with salt water it’s going to have.

As looney says, use the camera's alarm output wires to electrically trigger your external device.
