Trying to decide what new cameras to get. I use BI exclusively and do not want to over pay for features that are unusable. I have seen bits and pieces of this in other threads but nothing cohesive. What features of Dahua cameras are lost when using BI? And how to use the camera features in BI?
Some of the Dahua cameras have intelligent features that do not seem to be present in Blue Iris. I am wondering what features can still be used in BI and how. This include things such as detecting or identifying people and PZT controls. Is it possible to have the camera wait to trigger BI until a person or automobile is detected? Can the camera feed the identity or license plate info to BI? Can other advanced features of the cameras be used to trigger BI or add info to alerts?
