I got a dahua vto2111d-p-s2 with 4.511...20211116 firmware and vth2421 monitor
I've managed to switch this bell to use my external freepbx/asterisk server. I set up a call group in freepbx that includes the monitor and some softphones so doorpanel calls this group when the button is pressed.
First days it worked flawlessly but finally I got a strange problem. When I press doorbell button it does call all my softphones within the call group except the dahua monitor. If I call the same group from a softphone, all the phones ring including dahua monitor.
There's something wrong in the doorpanel or monitor or sip settings in freepbx? Could it be some wrong settings with video support in freepbx?

correct settings for dahua vs freepbx integration:
1. don't use non-latin characters in extension names in freepbx
2. allow only h264 codec and disallow vp8 codec everywhere (extensions, advanced sip settings)
3. set video support = yes (instead of inherit) in extensions
now it works normally, I can call from VTO panel to group of VTH and softphones, I can call from linphone to VTH monitor etc

Hello mikhan,

I'm currently struggling to make this work with VTO2000A, VTH1510CH and VTH5221D.

Currently they can call each other but the issue is that the video is black.

Also when I setup the Ring Group ext 9000, when VTO calls to the ring group on the VTHs shows on

VTO2000A, VTH1510CH and VTH5221D.
What sip server do you use?
Black screen could be a codec issue, try to lower bitrate below 1024 kbps. Also check if it is h264 only (not h263 or vp8).
Share your sip server logs.

Using FreePBX
My setup is:
VTO - 8001
VTH 1 - 9901
VTH 2 - 9902

I'm a newbiew here so excuse some miss understanding.

Does this log help:

This is after making a call from 9901 to the VTO 8001 during the call I can't see any image.
Also if someone rings the door when I answer the call disconnects.

9902 is the same as 9901 (configs)

I can move everything to chan_sip - tried it but had the same result... maybe this is something I'm missing.

thank you

it was a clean docker-based freepbx installation
my settings are:
1. chan_sip only in sip settings,
2. all extensions are chan_sip only, video support - yes (not inherit), don't use non-latin characters in ext name
3. advanced sip settings - enable video support, select h264 only, max bitrate 768 kpbs (it seems dahua doesn't like bitrates over 1024 kbps)

I have mine on a virtual machine, what version are you using?

Another idea from riogrande was to setup VTO as a SIP server, standard config.... and them do a sip trunk to a free extention 9901#2 for example, group call active... all calls will be sent to all VTHs and PBX

News...

I have configured FreePBX 15 on a VM exactly like you said... connected everything.

I can make calls but the video does not show at all.

I think this might be related with my actual hardware, VTO2000A is quite old might be diffrent than yours.

So I went back to FreePBX 16 configured a SIP Trunk to an available extention of the VTO 9901#2 like riogrande advised, testing this approach now...
