Dahua/EmpireTech compatability with Reolink

I recently installed a Reolink 16ch nvr poe system and have realized I would like to add some better quality cameras to my lineup. From what i have read I should be able to connect them to the NVR.

My question is will I still be able to utilize motion alerts and access to the camera with Reolink's app using an Empire Tech camera?

Unless you have a lot of light, the 4MP versions are better at low light as the 4MP and 8MP are on the same size sensor so the 8MP will need at least double the light of the 4MP.

It is best to match brand of NVR with cameras.

All ONVIF compatible means is that the video should come thru. Any advanced features of either device may or may not work with non-brand.
