Hello. I am trying to buy a 3 cam system for my indoor home surveillance. It will be used to monitor just the babysitter/housekeeper. I don't have any intentions to use it for security but it might be needed someday. Also watching from mobile is a MUST. I don't want a wireless system because I would like to shut down the system completely when we are at home except when we are not sleeping (Unplug the NVR)
I will buy Dahua cams from China but don't have any idea about compatibility with NVR. I found a bargain in my country for NVR (Dahua DHI-NVR2108HS-4KS2 8 + 1 TB WD HDD) for $140 USD including shipment. I don't know if it is original or Chinese rip-off.
I will buy these 1x Dahua IPC-HDBW4631R-S 6MP IP Camera + 2 x Dahua IPC-HDW4631C-A metal shell 6MP OR 1x Dahua 4MP IPC-HDBW4433R-S + 2 x Dahua IPC-HDW4433C-A. There is a $25 USD difference between these two setups.
My concern is, I heard that some NVRs don't support motion detection and tripwire (Do I even need this?). I don't want to have such an issue after buying these cams because most likely the cams will arrive 1 month after the NVR which I won't have an opportunity to return the NVR.
If you have any other suggestions for the cameras (model/brand), I would like to hear that too but shipment outside China is really outside my budget. Shipment to Turkey costs even more than the cameras. The dome camera will be used in the living room which requires a 180-degree view angle and two other cameras will be used in the kitchen and child's room. I choose 2.8mm focus just because both the kitchen and the room are too small and would like to use only 1 cam in each to monitor.
I have 5 questions
1) Which cameras should I buy? Is it worth the $25 upgrade?
2) Can I use Dahua DHI-NVR2108HS-4KS2 for motion detection or should I upgrade it? I want to watch a short summary of the events at home without going through all of it. Like stop-motion or day brief
3) Do I need anything else I MUST buy other than these (NVR+3 cams) for the setup? (Except cable) Like some device connecting NVR to cams?
4) Should I pick NTFS or PAL? Does it matter?
5) Does the dome cameras have motorized movement? I could find it anywhere. If they don't I will buy 3x cheaper ones.
Thank you very much
