Just received from @EMPIRETECANDY, a Video Intercom kit (VTO6210B/BW and VTH1560B/BW) and right now I'm playing with it, a couple of questions, can I get the calls on my android ? I've added the device in the door stations list, I can connect and see images, call from the App (gDMSS), but when the call starts from the door station, I can only see it on the VTH, nothing on the gDMSS (In alarm manager I've enabled alarm from VTO, but there is nothing about 'push notifications') ...
Second question, when you add a camera, the maximun password lenght accepted by the VTH, for the camera, is 6 chars, but when you set your own password on the cameras, the minium lenght is 8 chars .... seems odd enough, do I have to leave the 'admin' (default) password on the camera, for 'call' the camera from the VTH ?
Cheers,

I've tried both, locally, on the same lan, and via P2P, no joy ... There is something that should be obvious and I've probably missed ... :)

For the password lenght, seems solved, rather than set the camera directly on the VTH, I've configured a new user in the camera, and then I've configured the camera on the VTO, while, for the incoming calls on gDMSS, issues still stand ..

Thanks for your reply, actually, I've searched for a solution, but I didn't find it ... I've tried with gDMSS HD Lite, which should allow push notifications directly on the 'device config', but it fails to subscribe, so I've downloaded the gDMSS plus, which is, more or less as the gDMSS lite, but here, in device config, there isn't the 'push notifications' feature, and in 'alarm manager' I've enabled the VTO registered, but still no rings on the phone ...

Update, the alarm seems working (if I remove the VTO from its support, I get the alarm through the gDMSS), but still not able to get the incoming calls on the phone ...

There isn't a real strong following for these here. I think you probably have to set up sip and use that to call your phone. This could mean paying for a voip line or running a local sip server. You might even be able to use something like this if you run a sip client on your phone: Ekiga.net: Welcome.

Congratulations with the intercom kit! I do not have this kit but I am interested. Seems to be very nice and since it's Dahua, probably a very good add-on to your cameras and nvr (when from the same manufacturer). I have read it is possible to view 32(!) camera's on the screen and the video from the kit itself can be recorded to the nvr (if dahua). Cool.

From what I have read you should choose 'Door' when you open gDMSS app. Then choose '+' (add button for VTO and choose 'p2p'. It should then be possible to scan a QRC code on your phone. Keep us posted.

For what I've understood, should happen, more or less, the same shown in this youtube video, but, actually, I don't get any notify when there is an incoming call, notify only arrives if there is an alarm (tested with the tamper) ... now going to reset and reconfigure the VTO...

Hello,

isn't the xDMSS Lite (i/g version for iOS/Android) supposed to be limited on push notification capability? I suspect when you upgrade to Full that push notivications work.

Good luck!

Tried with the gDMSS lite (free version), no notifies for incoming calls, uninstalled the lite and installed the gDMSS plus, the same, push notifies ok for alarms, but nothing for incoming calls

Did you check if your bandwidth is sufficient. I have read that IPv4 protocol is been used for the video, snapshots and push notifications. Maybe you want to try to bring down the setting for extra video stream so that less bandwidth is used. And it seems important to restart the unit after adjustment. Another thing is to check if the unit came with the latest firmware.

The bandwidth isn't the issue, from the app I can call the VTO, and I get the notification for the alarms, but I don't get the notification for the incoming calls

I do not have this intercom (so I can not check it now), but I am interested.

I am sure you have read about the two protocols, IPv4 and Dahua Video Door protocol. From what I have read you have to make sure you have the VTO unit attached to your mobile device. This should be done via 'p2p'. Did you manage to include it via QRC code?

Of course yes, I don't get the push notification from incoming calls, but if I remove the door station from its support, I get immediately the push notification for the alarm ....
In both gDMSS lite and plus, there isn't the 'push notify' button, in the device, and if I try with the gDMSS HD Lite, the button is there, and if I enable the 'push notify', I get 'Failed to subscribe, check your google account'.
Are you able to get the notifications for incoming calls, with your VTO ?
Cheers,

Today I've talked with @EMPIRETECANDY , next monday he'll ask to dahua guys for this issue/misconfiguration ?
I also asked if there is available a multi-language firmware.....
Cheers

Ok, after some troubles, seems working, I've found an EngSpa firmware (the original one was only 'English'), not exactly what I was looking for, but ....
Anyway, after installing a small additional firmware-extension (with 1.16RECUpgrade), the push notifications for incoming calls are working !
Here the useful link (spanish language)
Cheers,

YES! I am so happy too it worked. Congratulations redfive. :headbang:

Another thing is to check if the unit came with the latest firmware

Yes, good idea to upgrade the firmware. I thought so. Keep us posted how the unit works and if you are satisfied with it.

The firmware version is the same, if you read the link, seems that is the additional firmware-extension which solves the issue, anyway, is working now with gDMSS plus, later I'll try with the lite (free) version.
