What do you think about this demo?
Polish demo, where they compare WizColor 2449-PRO with 5449 Full Color and some 3549 TIOC in worst possible scenario: FULL DARK environment (NO LIGHT at all).
there is no 5442-S3 in comparison, but it will generate even much darker image that 5449 Full Color in this test (F1.6 vs F1.0 aperture - so 2x less light on sensor in 5442-S3)..
At the end they show also TIOC-PRO on some very alpha WizColor firmware (not available publicly)..
Please be aware that this is TOTAL DARK environment (forest), where our beloved 5442-S3 will show almost nothing in Color mode...
The new AI-ISP tech can create full color static picture for pleases where 5442-S3 will generate very dark almost no usable image.
WizColor / AI-ISP are using high dynamic gamma / color manipulation (very advanced HDR tech from mobiles) and high 3D noise reduction.
I see this on 3449 TIOC-PRO cams (on factory pre WizColor firmware), which at the same places as 5442-S3 generate much brighter and much more color-full static image that 5442-S3 (using the same shutter settings - so this is not long exposure)..
The main issue stay with movement, which in almost no light situations are very ghosted (very high use of 3D-NR) and noisy..
But for that those cameras have hybrid light - where white light can be activated by human/car motion detection in no light situation.
So help me make sure I'm understanding.
Is the 2449 not using white lights at all?
None of the 3 are using their white lights?
It would have been great had they tested all 3 with the LEDs on, that's how they'll really be used.
Looking closer at the 2449TL on a bigger screen on the Polish vid, it's not useful video with zero light, as expected without the LEDs, no camera is in color
On the Turkey vid it shows it does pick up light really well, but at distance with bright ambient light.... Having video of it closer in at usable distances (3-25M) with ambient light would be helpful
I agree at distance where detail is less important, it is a light monster, with the caveats that @steve1225 mentioned.
