Hello, I have a few of the IPC-T5842T-ZE that I purchased from Andy and am wondering how I can get the record 'pack duration' value to stick. No matter what value I specify here in this field, the recorded files always come out at 33 minutes (well, the default value of 8 minutes did yield 8 minute videos IIRC).

Maybe I'm missing something obvious. I have my recording schedule for every day, 24 hours continuous.

I am wanting one hour long recordings. Is the 33 minutes a limitation in the camera if I have the encoding profile, bitrate, resolution, and frame rate maxed out?

I have sub streams disabled.

Thank you! :) Any help would be appreciated. @EMPIRETECANDY

The storage is on the SD card or NVR?

I understand that the pack duration is only applicable if your using an SD card within the camera itself or a NVR. Not your NAS.

I would look at see if that is a limit in Synology. In BI, we set that limit to whatever we want.

The amount of storage available is different than the actual video file size. Nobody would have one long video file of 20TB.

For example, many here will limit the video in BI to 1 hour increments or 4GB, whichever comes first for each video file.

Look to see if Synology has a clips limit or whatever they call video files.

No limits have been found or set, the only thread I found was this: Synology Community

I was able to upload a 50GB file via command line with SFTP.

Andy thinks it may be a firmware bug with the cameras.
