Hey everyone! Long time dahua camera user but I have always used BI for motion detection etc.. So im new to these IVS intrusion/tripwire/etc settings.
Im noticing that with the intrusion setting once you are inside the box it can stop recording and possibly miss some things until you cross back out of the box and it triggers again. Also im guessing the "Pre-Trigger Video Buffer" in BI still works even when using the external triggers? It seems it still uses the "End Trigger Break Time" in BI that you set.
Im trying to cut down on some of the false alarms that i get in BI but it seems i might also cut down on video of actual things happening as well. I guess you can still use BI motion detection along with the IVS triggers. Maybe i should add some tripwires in the middle of the intrusion box?

Any tips or tricks or thoughts on this are welcome! :) Also i tried looking for a tutorial on youtube but it seems you only get dahua NVR tutorials and its hard to find tutorials on the cameras GUI. Some of the settings in the cameras GUI arent real clear and even hitting the "?" doesnt always do the best of explaining it.

Reason im diving into this is my little sister is getting a couple dahua IPC-T54IR-AS from Andy and since she cant afford a PC right now we are going to be using the microSD card slots and the cameras GUI as the NVR for now. Im currently using my dahua cameras and BI system to test these settings so i can get her setup when her cams get here, but also looking into the integrating IVS into BI for myself.

Thanks again for any help!

I understand blueiris settings pretty well.. (been using BI for over 15 years) I am looking for a little more knowledge on dahua camera GUI settings as far as IVS settings etc..
Andy / Empiretech has some really good videos on how to set up IVS, tripwire and intrusion zones. I've learned a lot watching how to set up the cameras by watching his videos.
