Hi,
i bought an used Dahua NVR 5208-4KS2 (V1) with an old Firmware installed "NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V3.216.0000005.0.R.20190125"
As the AlarmBoxes were not offered in the alarm settings i upgraded to "NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.000.0000001.5.R.20191218"
Everything workes fine, but no alarmboxes offered.
Up from what Firmware Version will the alarm boxes appear in the settings?
I ask as some month befor i buyed a Dahua NVR 5216-4KS2 (V1?).
The alarm box appeared in the settings. Unfortunately i destroyed the RS485 chip on the NVR by adding lot of alarm hardware and the ARB1606 with power on,
due to some loose contact in the power of the ARB theRS485 chip was destroyed, the alarm box was not recognized any more.
I bought an additional alarm box, but it was not recognized too.
Unfortunately i updated this NVR to "NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.002.0000000.6.R.221115" with the result that audio settings disappeard and - thats the worst -
motion detection for some older non-Dahua IP-cams didn't work any more.
Question: up from what firmware version the alarm box will be recognized?
(as i don't want to upgrade the firmwar to versions with more malfunctions.
FYI: i used external motion detection as the corridors are very dark and the light gets switched on by motion detection, then the IP-cams start working (motion detected).
But, when the lights get off the IP-cams again start working (motion detection). Now i start recording with alarm for ever cam.
