hello, i have a weird situation,
i installed 8 dahua cameras and 1 dahua nvr.
all the cameras are connected on one poe switch and the nvr directly to the router. the switch is also connected on router.

so i installed the first 7 cameras but the last one is denied to connect on nvr.
i can see the camera on nvr when i search for cameras, it has a green dot, when i add the camera, it has red dot and cannot connected. ( i triple checked password channels etc.)
i tried to ping the camera ( 192.168.1.108) from a pc connected on router, without success. if i connect a pc on same switch with the camera, it works and i can ping it. Also if i ping it from a device connected on wifi, it works i can ping it and access it.

i tried again 2 other cameras with default settings and they work fine, i can ping them on default ip 192.168.1.108 from everywhere. this specific camera cannot be accessed from a device on lan that is directly connected on router or any other switch.
Also i installed config tool, same thing i can see the camera but cannot access the configuration.
i went the camera on another facility and it works fine, the nvrs can see it and i can ping it from anywhere.
i reset the camera on defaults multiply times, also i tried many other ips whithout success

any idea whats can be wrong?

Which NVR model and camera models? You may be exceeding the capacity of the NVR, not from a number of camera standpoint but from a bandwidth standpoint.

This should not affect your issue, but.....
The camera's POE switch should not go through the router to get to the NVR, instead run NVR to POE switch and POE switch (uplink if available) to router.

Even if I remove all other cameras , the specific camera cannot be added on nvr.

Why then I can see all other cameras and also access the specific camera from WiFi. The switch and nvr are in different locations so it's hard to connect nvr on the switch

It looks like, as a network issue, but I cannot figure out, why it happens only on a specific camera, what may be different

"Seeing" the cams is not the issue, it's that the switch portion of routers generally can't handle all the video data going through it to get to the NVR. It can impede other router traffic like the family's smartphone, smart TV, Wi-Fi access point, etc.

It's just best as I stated in post #3; run NVR to POE switch and POE switch (uplink if available) to router.

Plug a monitor into the NVR and see what it says on screen.
Examples you would see on screen:
  • 'Account locked' - The password is wrong and camera has locked out retrying.
  • 'Over decode ability' - The camera's video stream cannot be decoded by the NVR. E.g. cam outputs H.265 but NVR only supports H.264.
  • 'Failed to find network host' - The NVR could not find a device on that IP address (should display the IP address it's attempting).
You could also find these looking in the log file.

Make a hard reset to the camera’s reset button, press it for 10 seconds and then check it again. Make sure camera is powered when do this. Then initialize the camera again. Remember non duplicated ip address.
