Hello!

Just bought this. i have a setup with 5 cameras.
But i cant get AI records Alerts. I get They only record 24/7. I want to use face recongnition and motor vehicle find.
configuration not supported in 192.168.1.39 when i go to AI / Parameters / Smartplan or IVS.

I have followed a few guides from youtube but still dont work.

Lets take one at a time

Is 192.168.1.39 your NVR?

On AI, only 2 channels can be set for Face recognition using the NVR AI
"AI by recorder: 2-channel face detection and recognition "
So you can set 2 channels on the NVR to use Face Recognition, but only 2

For Video Metadata (motor vehicles) you will have to set this on the individual cameras interface, not the NVR.

----------
For alerts- are you talking about recording them on the NVR or alerts to your phone?

Hello.

Yes thats my NVR.
Are you sure it only works with 2 channels? i have it activated on 3 / 5. But i can try disable it on 1 cam.
Im not sure what u mean i have to do it on the cameras interface. Can i logg into the camera separatly? i have enabled this under /Ai / Parameters / Viderometadata

For alerts i want it to make those yellow mark on the timeline when it se people or vehicile

So the NVR and the cameras each have their own separate capabilities.

Yes, that information is straight from the spec sheet
NVR5208-8P-EI - Dahua International

AI by recorder: 2-channel face detection and recognition, 4-channel perimeter protection, and 8-channel SMD Plus.
AI by camera: Face detection and recognition, perimeter protection, SMD Plus, metadata, ANPR, stereo analysis, heat map, and people counting.

AI by Recorder Face detection; face recognition; perimeter protection; SMD Plus
AI by Camera Face detection; face recognition; video metadata (human, motor vehicles, and non-motor vehicles); perimeter protection;
SMD Plus; stereo analysis; crowd distribution; people counting; ANPR; vehicle density; heat map

The cameras themselves have their own capabilities, for Video metadata, (for vehicles snapshots) you have to set that on the camera. The NVR does not have that capability directly,

Yes you have to login to the camera directly. You should do this for ALL settings. Only use the NVR for settings that Can NOT be set on the camera directly.

Try the steps below

Restart the camera (pull the RJ45 from NVR).

Still not working? Try rebooting the the NVR.

Final option is to hard reset the camera and then setup from scratch. The default IP for a Dahau camera should be 192.168.1.108

What is the model number of the NVR?

Some NVRs have a is a setting for SWTICH this can setup the cameras to be in a 10.1.1.1 range. Any camera which is plugged into the NVR will get an assigned IP of 10.1.1.1.XXX

If you need help setting up the network side send me a conversation. :thumb:

He’s using a PoE NVR. Plugging the cameras into the PoE port and resetting them will default the cameras to the 10.1.1.x internal switch network and assign them all the same password as the admin of the NVR

This is why I asked to see his reg page. If they are already assigned 10.1.1.x IPs, and show green dots, he may simply not know to use the blue IE icon to access them. OR if red, probably a password issue. So by resetting while on the PoE port, they should turn green.
