Bandwidth320 Mbps (160 Mbps when AI function enabled)
Does anyone that has one of these, or had one Dahua NVR5216/16 -16p-I/L know if the incoming bandwith of this nvr Dahua NVR5216/16 -16p-I/L drops straight down from 320 to 160 if only 1 channel of AI in the the nvr is engaged or only a little drop as each channel for AI is engaged because with some of the channels I wouldn't need AI , as instead some of the cameras I have ,have the same features. It seems like a huge drop in incoming bandwidth when you compare it to a Dahua NVR5208-8p 4KS2E or 5216-16p 4KS2E with its 320mbs incoming bandwidth.

I never noticed that with my NVR5216-16p-I.
Obviously depends on your cameras, but 10mb/s per camera is still pretty generous.

My PTZ SD1A404XB-GNR in H.264 hovers between 2.5mb to 6mb (depending on motion in shot).
In H.265+ should be less again.

All these are 4MP cameras:
Channel 5 is inside a birdhouse, it has no movement inside it right now.
All are set to VBR (variable bit rate).

For 1 camera with AI on the NVR enabled I wouldn't be able to test sorry.
My 5 cameras get no-where near 50mb/s. All my cameras have a function on AI enabled from the NVR's side.
(Example, front door camera has camera AI for tripwire and NVR AI for facial recognition. All on the same video channel.)

If you need just one camera with AI then buy the other NVR and camera with AI.
The NVR will still link the AI functionality between devices.

You'll save a ton of money!

cheers do you like the functionality of the AI NVR

Yes I do like the NVR's AI.
Channel 2 of my camera is not Dahua brand (Axis) and the NVR lets me get IVS rules on it.

It has also meant I do not need to buy the expensive Dahua cameras that have people counting and facial recognition.
You can only do one AI function per camera from the NVR, so I use the cameras AI plus the NVR for two functions.
