I've been using a high end (new Core i7, 16GB RAM) laptop to power Blue Iris for displaying 7 IP cams on a monitor and it has worked well. This was temporary though, and I need that laptop back. I just built an Intel NUC with a Core i5 and it is struggling to power Blue Iris with the same config, the CPU is pegged at 100% and everything is very slow.
I've tried both Smart PSS and regular PSS and they both seem to have lower CPU utilization, but as far as I can tell, none of them has the object detection ability that Blue Iris has that we really like (where it outlines moving objects on the screen). Just wondering if anyone knows if PSS or Smart PSS have this and I just don't see it. Thanks.
