Hi everyone,
Im running several of the Dahua PTX SD59225U-HNI Cameras with firmware version. V2.623.0000000.13.R.181205 . I will be upgrading to firmware version V2.800.0000000.5.R.190827 hopefully in the next couple weeks.

I found a strange problem affecting the time/date on one of my cameras and I wanted to inquire if anyone thinks it may be a bug and where it should be reported?

Here is the issues and the steps to repeat it.

Problem:
Time changes to default time of Jan 1, 2000 @ 00:00 when camera does a scheduled reboot. Then it does not look at time server to set to correct time.

1. Install a memory card into the camera prior to setting correct date and time.
2. The camera records an IVS or Motion Event on the memory card with an incorrect date and time.
3. Install camera, set time and date, do not reformat memory card. There are still recorded events with incorrect date on memory card.
4. Camera is setup to reboot daily at 9am.
5. Camera reverts back to default time of January 1, 2000.

Anyone heard of this before? Thought I would check?

Thanks
R

To not reboot, there is a setting that you can stop.

I reboot my cameras daily due to original firmware that came with them and the noisy environment they used to be in. It seemed to help with some of the glitchyness.

This is just a behavoir I noticed. This post is mainly to provide info and see if others might have experienced the same.

I will be doing a firmware update and remounting all my cameras on poles. When I do this I will repeat this to verify.

Hello

I have a question about the camera SD59225U-HNI .
I have a firmware version in this camera 2.623.0000000.13.R,2018-12-05 , but the manufacturer's website has the latest firmware .

1. DH_SD-Eos_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_Market_V2.800.0000000.5.R.190827

and

2. DH_SD-Eos_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_Market_V2.800.0000000.5.R.190827

What firmware should I upload to my camera? because there are two versions of NP and PN but I don't know what that means .

And how do I upload this firmware ?

Thanks

One is PAL the other is NTSC, these days does not matter, since the signal is digital. If in your country you have Pal(TV video system) use the PN.

Ok, thank you for the information, I have a PAL system.
How to upload this software to the camera ??
I have this camera connected to NVR4208-8P-4KS2

I'm not familiar with NVRs. I have a PC. Usually I do it through the web browser, using the camera gui.

So if I connect to the camera via the browser and I will be able to upload the firmware to the camera ? or I need any program installed on the computer to connect to this camera or just to connect via the browser?
