G'day, I'm looking to add PTZ to a home assistant home automation,
Not looking for anything too fancy, I don't have any real security issues and not looking to implement multiple camera systems, more just to be able to view property over the web

Based on my reading some of the forum here, the 2MP -1/2.8" lens combination would be best for nighttime vision

Just looking for any feedback on the cameras list below (the prices are Australian dollars, free shipping over $400),
I'm in a residential area and cannot see large distance so the large zoom isn't probably required.

Looking for opinion if the DH-SD3A205-GNP-PV would be adequate, or if another camera would be a better option

Thanks for any help

Stuart

Right now if you don't have a DVR then you won't want to go with the HDCVI PTZ as it will require extra hardware to view or record the cameras footage.. The other an Ai camera offers many great options as a stand alone camera just need to add a Micro SD card or FTP server access... In future add in NVR if need more storage options

Then the DH-SD3A205-GNP-PV is 1 EOL but other then that if you don't need extra distance and still want something as nice as the other AI full sized PTZ it will be a good starter PTZ camera just isn't as long lasting as the full sized IP PTZ cameras..

These guys still have them
EOL is ok if its good value and decent quality for the price !

EOL don't always mean as much as it used to.. However I would keep in mind that some places might not get any newer Firmware then what is already offered under Dahua current time line for Firmware because it is EOL..
