Dahua VTH1550CH-2 locked out

Hi,

Yesterday I bought a Dahua 2-wire intercom kit.
In the initial setup screen of the VTH1550CH-2 (indoor unit) I choose my language, I setup a 6 number password and my email address.
When I navigate to "settings", I have to give up my password, but it says every time "password error".
Apparently it seems that I have setup a wrong password and I'm locked out now.

I tried "Password recovery" by holding the "settings" button for a while. It shows a QR code.
I downloaded the "gDMSS Lite" app, choose "Password recovery" and scanned the QR code.
It says "Password recovery success", but I still have not received an email with recovery code.

What I'm doing wrong here? Is there an other way to factory reset this device?

Ok, I found the solution.
I had to hold the "Settings" button for 6 seconds. A similar password dialog appear and this one is accepting my 6 number password.
When I short press the "Settings button and fill in my 6 number password, I receive "Password Error".
What is the logic here?
