Hello,
long time ago I completely shot up my 10" VTH5241DW (Gen1) with a wrong firmware. A rescue via TFTP/serial was unsuccessful after long attempts.
Thereupon I got myself a new Winbond 25Q256 chip, flashed the latest FW and now had it replaced by someone who can solder :). So far so good.
The VTH now boots again, is found by vdpconfig and you can also reset it.
BUT, unfortunately the touchscreen and also the keys are completely wrong calibrated. I.e. the touchscreen reacts, but not with the commands where you press.

FW is General_VTH52X1D_Eng_P_SIP_V4.300.0000000.5.R.20211126.
MCU is General_VTH5221D_APP_EFM32HG110_MCU_V1.105.0000001.0.R.20181217.

Unfortunately, the Unlock and Menu button option like on the VTH1550 does not work - there is no Menu button on the VTH5241.

A calibration via vdpconfig does not exist as far as I know.

Any hint about a new MCU-version or how to calibrate the VTH is appreciated.

Why investing time and money in such an old device ?

These devices are around 100USD + VAT. Not worth any effort.

Will do, but I am still trying to fix the VTH - so if anyone has a MCU for this device or a hint how to calibrate - be my guest :).

Have found the solution. It seems that the HWID during last uodate was changed to an ID fot VTH5221 - the HWID is fully different to VTH5241.
After changing the HWID in the bootloader, my VTH is back :).
