Day/Night Exposure settings

Curious what others are doing with Exposure settings. I've been using Auto for both Day and Night but I'm thiking about changing to Shutter Priority to help get more consistent results with sharpness during motion. I'm considering 1/250 during the day and 1/60 at night since all of my cameras have supplemental IR illumination. I plan on testing different settings but I'd like to hear from others who may have done the same experiment. Thanks!

1/250 is too slow for day, I think you will find the picture will be blown out.
You generally need 1/120 or 1/250 at night.

Thanks @looney2ns. It would be real handy if I could find out what shutter setting is being used in the alert recordings or IVS snapshots. Do you use auto?

No, I use manual with 1/120 in most situations at night. Auto during the day.
