What's the default password that get assigned to a camera when it's setup by the Lechange NVR or does it get it from my admin user? I'm trying to move some camera to test on another NVR but it's password protected with a 10 char password. The specific model NK168P0, I never set one and somewhat confirm that its set by the NVR because I reset one of the unit with the reset button and saw the password length goes to 10 chars hidden by the * when it goes back online. I reason this out since I set my own and it shows the exact length of my password hidden by the *.

If you're wondering why I don't just reset them all, I got three in a high position and would have to borrow a ladder to get to them.

Unless you did something at time of setup, the camera assumes the user and password of the NVR.

Now some people get cute and think it is best to make them different, and then problems happen LOL.

Ugh, was afraid it be the user/password of the admin. I normally logged into the nvr with the patterns and haven't done the password in ages. Good to know. Thanks!

Just posting if anyone else ran into this issue, I found out my nvr was hacked and the admin password was changed this also change all the password of my ip cam. Luckily there was a recovery option where you email support with a qr scan and they gave me a security password.

How did you determine your NVR had been hacked if: I normally logged into the nvr with the patterns and haven't done the password in ages ???

Saw a bunch of accounts that I never created under the user account. Like 5 accounts, guess they were leaving their calling card. I think the 5 account made out their calling card since one of the account was named "HackedBy" and this was I think 5 months ago and didn't found out till now. Since the logs had the history of the account being added.

And further, how do you access your NVR remotely - did you use port forward or P2P (scan QR code).
I rarely access it and only access is through the SmartPSS but that's locally from a computer that hit the local ip directly. I work from home. Other then that I have the display of the feed on a monitor from the hdmi output. Hence why I rarely go in it.
