Default or Factory Default when updating firmware?

I want to update one of my Dahua cameras doing the most recommended route that gives the least issues:
1-Reboot the cam
2-Set the cam back to factory defaults
3-Upload new firmware.
4-Set camera back to factory defaults again.
5-Configure an existing cam from scratch, don't import a saved config file.

and was wondering if I should go basic Default or Factory Default. The reason I ask is because my NVR + Cameras are on a different subnet IP than the default dahua IP(192.168.1.108) and was wondering if I'll be fine just only doing the non-Factory Default since I keep my IP settings. Or would I have any issues going with Factory Default?
