Well, sort of noob. Used to be the general manager of a large home automation company. One of our products was surveillance systems, including integration with Crestron, etc. But I was the bossman, not a tech, and it was in the analog era. I am spellbound by the capability that a $50-$100 camera has today. Dangerously knowledgeable about networking, etc. (former telecom engineer). But now I manage large analytical projects for a big financial institution that you have likely heard of, so I have to do these kinds of things to stay current on tech. I also dabble in Android development. And I guess I am sort of an Excel/VBA guru.
