I have a DH-SD5A225GB-HNR PTZ which I'm trying to get to work in Blue Iris. The problem I am facing is that I can't get the Blue Iris PTZ controls to work proper with this camera as in it either does not work or it goes where it wants and stops when it wants.

I have tried Many configurations Including all the Generic Onvif and Dahua's anyone help or recommend a fix for this problem as its been a few years since I messed with a PTZ and the new Dahua Web GYI got me straight away :).

It all works well in the Web GUI interface so I know it must be something in BI.

Hit the find/inspect and post the screenshot of the pop up window.

And what is the PTZ protocol you are using on the PTZ tab? Did you try generic and Dahua V4 and Dahua V5?

Here we are mate and I am thinking because I am on a Older BI and the camera is newer would I need to update BI and renew my membership? Also do not see a Dahua V4 & V5 in the dropdown just Dahua

It does respond to the BI PTZ controls but just goes off one.

I guess that is always a possibility but I am on an older one and the newer GUI works for me.

Do you not have Dahua NewV4 or V5 in that pull-down?

Hang on Yes I see it in the PTZ dropdown , how did I miss that let me try.

Yeah it got my hopes up when you said Dahua V4 and Dahua V5 and I was confident V5 would have worked but not just OXML Onvif works but erratic and does what it wants .

Has to be a BI setting as it works perfect in the Dahua Web interface.

Any further suggestions as this has now started to do my head in :)
