I have 6 cameras connected to this NVR. All were working fine, so I know this isn't a bandwidth issue, although it seems like a classic bandwidth issue. I can turn on the sub stream, and the black screen clears (although it shows the much lower sub stream screen resolution.) I was able to confirm I'm only utilizing a fraction of the bandwidth. These have 200MBps bandwidth, and I'm only utilizing like 20Mbps at the highest settings. The cameras are fine, as I can view them individually and the main stream is used.

I've tried resetting the NVR to factory defaults, and have the latest firmware. No changes were made at all before this started occurring, so I'm assuming my NVR is going bad, but figured i'd check here just in case there is anything I can do.

Also, there is another issue with an Alarm popping up on one of the cameras. There is a red alarm symbol with the date and time. I cannot figure out how to get rid of this. I have no alarms set up and this persisted through the NVR factory reset, as well as moving a different camera to that channel. Its very odd.

Any ideas on these two issues?

Assume you’re trying to view full stream on the NVR directly? How many cameras simultaneously?

Try downloading and using SmartPSS as a viewer on a local pc/laptop and see if you get same results?

The 200 Mbps is incoming bandwidth to the NVR. Live viewing/streaming I believe is more horsepower intensive and I don’t know that it relates directly to that incoming number. Just guessing here.

Yes, HDMI connected directly to a TV. I tried to view all the main streams in SmartPSS, and interestingly there are two cameras that will not display at all there (they do display on the monitor sub or main stream.) Maybe these two cameras are causing all of my issues. I'll see if there are any firmware updates for them.

Edit: I got them all working on main stream in SmartPSS, and no alarm there.

Of course with SmartPSS the horsepower of your machine as well as network bandwidth constraints come into play....
