Hello,
I would like to make the Dahua camera visible to my parents via DMSS. As they are not very familiar with it, I would like to do this WITHOUT a VPN, but via port forwarding.
I have now set this to port 37777 (TCP) - so far so good.
I am using a Fritzbox 7530AX, which is very popular in Germany and can also be reached from outside via myfritz.net
If I enter the “real” IP (91.49.x.x) address in DMSS, I get the image of the camera displayed (so portforwarding is working), but if I use the MEINNAME.myfritz.net name, I get a connection error.
After a lot of testing, I deactivated IP6 on the Fritzbox - now the connection also works via the MEINNAME.myfritz.net name - I find that strange.
I then did some more research - with IP6 active on the router.
An “nslookup MYNAME.myfritz.net” returns the correct IP4 address.
An “nslookup -query=AAAA MEINNAME.myfritz.net” returns the correct IP6 address.
Does anyone have an idea?
