DMSS & Web UI issues during Alarm Messages & IVS search

Since getting the WizMind NVR, I have been playing with the AI functions. Since my cameras have only basic IVS and no ways of detecting humans/vehicles and just bounding box.

I tested SMD with AI and it gives a ton of false positives, and a lot of bugs actually.

So basically back to IVS (Tripwire) but this time with AI to detect humans/vehicles. I use Zig Zag lines... It works decently.

However, the two issues I have seen so far:
- I get multiple alarm notifications on DMSS app for the same tripwire event, sometimes 1-2 sec apart. Maybe it is because of the way I have set the zigzag lines. This doesn't bother me as much as this next one.

- The more annoying part, when I get alarms videos, during their playback of the video of the people walking or cars, there is a skip frame of 2-3 seconds in the middle (i.e. car jumps ahead). If I go to Web UI same thing but there is a short black screen with hourglass in the middle... the full playback doesn't have this issue (i.e. selecting camera, playback and scrolling to the time to play)

The interesting thing is that if go directly to the NVR and do the same IVS searching, none of the videos are skipping. So it has to be something with the DMSS and Web UI.

#1 correct

#2 are you recording full time PLUS IVS? Or just IVS?

So basically IVS is a separate recording from the full time recording and the NVR effectively splices these together.

On DMSS and SnartPSS Lite you get a momentary black screen when it switches from full time to IVS

Do you have Record schedule on the NVR recording full and IVS?
Do you have Record Mode checked for main And substream 1?

Actually my second screenshot is the wrong one, that is what got it fixed apparently. That one for Sub Stream1 was originally set to Auto.

I would recommend checking the Zig Zag line settings as they may cause duplicate alarms. It is also worth updating the NVR and DMSS firmware, changing the video stream (bitrate, codec) and clearing the application or browser cache.

Don't update firmware unless absolutely necessary or it ads some gee wiz new feature. Even then, dont be the first, wait and see how others do.

Nothing wrong with zig zags, I use them a lot. Yes you may get some extra alerts if someone crosses multiple lines, but it wont be the end of the world

The video stream was never the problem here.

Yeah the extra alerts don't bother me much. Since my parents have access to my cameras, I told them how to adjust the notifications on their phones/tablets.

For updates on anything related, I usually wait a few weeks/months, because when devs add a few new features, they break some others, unless there are CVE updates. I just wish they would separate them into different updates (i.e. security vs new features)

My major gripe was the skipping but that seems resolved. I also have a backup Android Phone (main being iPhone), and the DMSS app acts slightly different.

I wish there were third party apps...
