I'm having a weird experience with CPAI.
In all my previous history I'd been just triggering on motion detection, and my Alerts had been "When this camera is triggered," on all my cameras.
I had attempted fiddling with CPAI on my Home BI box perhaps a year ago, or perhaps it was DeepStack, but never figured out how to use it, and it crashed the box a few times, so I deleted it.
Last week I'd had some success on my Work BI box with CPAI/LPR and the database, so I figured I'd try CPAI at home.
I installed CPAI at home, cloned ONE specific camera (TrailDown --> TrailDown AI), and tried fiddling with my settings on that one camera, TrailDown AI, to detect animals and people.
The next day I got almost zero alerts on any of my 20+ cameras, even on cameras that monitor a reasonably busy residential street intersection. Here's one street camera, RainbowRidge, during my morning commute on Monday:
I uninstalled CPAI, and still wasn't getting alerts. I checked my camera settings, and oddly enough several of my cameras had Confirm the Alert with AI box checked. I had only enabled on one specific camera clone, TrailDown AI, that I set up for testing. So I checked all 20+ cameras and unchecked the Confirm the Alert with AI boxes, and unchecked the global Use Server AI on Port box. This morning, RainbowRidge was back to normal during the morning commute:
If I install CPAI again, and don't check Confirm the Alert with AI box on any of my cameras, should it be a no-op? e.g. should BI behave exactly as if CPAI is not installed?
Is my weird experience likely old cruft left over from when I fiddled with AI a year ago? Thanks!
