Hello, I have a chinese version of DS-2CD2032-I with V5.1.0 build 131202 firmware. I would like to know if it's worth the hassle to upgrade the firmware to latest version, what are the versions available for this unit? What's the downside of having the v5.1?

I also recently bought the laview LV PB932F4 and had successfully flashed them to DS-2CD2x10,2x20,2x 5.3.0 firmware.

Thanks!

My advice is to not touch it as you will probably end up bricking your camera.

v5.1.6 is the best version that you can upgrade to. Use the search and do plenty of research before attempted. Definitely do not attempt v5.2 or later, there is no advantage for you to do this.

Hi Del Boy, thanks for your feedback. I will
do more research on 5.1.6. So even with Tftp, I can't 'debrick' if something goes wrong?

It is possible to update to v5.1.6 from v5.1.0 and downgrade back with TFTP but do a few hours research now and save some hassle for later.

I'm not sure how you can just update to v5.1.6 straight away. But the info is here.
