Old DS-2CD2032F on new Dahua NVR. My old generic NVR died and because 5 cameras are Dahua I went with a NVR4208.

First thing I discover is Dahua NVR does not detect the Hik camera. Then I see Dahua have some sort of sub network for the Ipcams where they have them on 10.1.1.1 so I can't easily access over my network.
Researching Hik on Dahua I find wiki page that shows necessary settings but it appears my firmware is too old, it doesn't have that page of settings with Onvif details.
Foiled at every turn...!

Is there any workaround? Should I update the firmware? Weren't some of these Hiks bricked if firmware got updated?

Happy to talk, study etc. Thanks.

Trying to remember where the Hik cam came from, but I believe from Aliexpress. Best I not touch the firmware.?
For now am going to fit a Dahua cam to the location because I need the view monitored...

My ipcam turns out to be 7 years old from Aliexpress. The webpage "could not be found"., so I wasnt able to verify details.
Hikvision DS-2cd2032F-I 3MP
Been totally trouble free and done 24/7 work for me over that time.

Hik site says 2CD2032 is discontinued product. In addition the suffix is different. I pulled the camera now and have a new Dahua in its' place.
I think I'll use the Hik on my home network and use it when I want an extra camera to monitor something special. I'll need to power it as I'll have no POE injector.

Thanks trempa92. I plugged the hikcam into my router and proceeded to view settings over web browser. While I was doing so, the Dahua NVR discovered the Hikcam so I entered the password. Eventually an image appeared but it freezes for minutes at a time. Also my webpage freezes simultaneously. Closing web browser does not solve NVR freezing of the Hikcam.

Incidentally, the NVR reports port 80 and Onvif as Hikcam settings.

Optionally can I tell the NVR to ignore the Hikcam altogether? Then I could use it independently over a web browser..
