Hi,

Can someone tell me if there is a difference between DS-2CD2085FWD-I vs DS-2CD2085G1-I cameras?
I've got area with very low light conditions so I was thinking about DS-2CD2085G1-I
Is this darkfighter feature is worth to consider? Which one is better
Thanks,

The lux ratings could be alot better but also keep in mind it's a "mini bullet" camera so the capabilities are diminished by the size alone. It's also a 8mp camera so the low light capabilities wont be the best either. But Hikvision claims it is a "Powered by DarkFighter" cam which should add to its low light captures.

Over all I'd stay clear of it if you need it especially for low light scenarios. I'd look at something that is 4mp or less, has a better lux rating and is a actual "Darkfighter" camera not "powered by darkfighter".

I also wanted to know the difference. On a datasheet the only difference I see is the sensitivity lux, but I don't know what is better.
@coney27 you say it is a little cam so not very good. But what do you recommend when you want a very good cam? I thought 8MP was the best of Hikvision, but maybe you can point me to another cam?

The lower the color lux the better. As for mega pixels I would not recommend going past 4mp. The more the mega pixels the worse nighttime performance usually is. What type of camera are you looking for and what application will it be used in?

The discontinued one then should be better because there’s less flux.
I also had have the 4MP camera, but I sold it again, because it is less sharp them the 8MP.

I use synology surveillance station.

I want a very good cam for outside to see and record birds in the big garden. I also started a new topic for that question, because actually I don’t want to hijack this topic.
