DS-2CD2132F-I and NFS problem - Cannot downgrade to 5.1.x

I've had 3 Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I models working fine using the NFS fix on this forum with 5.1.6 firmware. However one of the cameras failed on me and has been replaced with a DS-2CD2132F-I with firmware 5.2.0. This does not work with NFS the same as 5.1.6 didn't but there's no fix for this other than to downgrade.

So I've tried to downgrade with the TFTP method but this results in a camera stuck in a boot loop. So I can TFTP on 5.2.0 and also the 5.2.3 that has just appeared on this forum. Both of those result in a working camera but 5.1.6 and 5.1.2 give me a camera stuck in a boot loop.

So I can only conclude that the first firmware version which supports the DS-2CD2132F-I model is 5.2.0 so I've no option to go back to a version of the firmware that can have a working NFS...

Seems like I'm completely stuck here with no options but to get a Hikvision DVR or running something like Zoneminder / Blu-Iris... :(

I had a 4TB USB drive hooked into my server with 3 separate partitions passed to the 3 cameras. So I have around 1.3TB of usable space per camera. I was doing continuous recording and that amount of space gave me a reasonable amount of footage.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what I could do?

Just for information from some more testing from firmware 5.2.3. In all these cases the camera has a whole partition to itself.

NFS to a 1.3TB drive is a no go, goes back to uninitialised.
Samba to a 1.3TB drive is a no go, goes back to uninitialised.
Windows Server 2012 R2 SMB share 1.3TB drive works fine. Reboot the camera and it's still recording.

So it would seem Linux is not reporting the free space quite as the camera wants it but Windows does. Going to look into my Samba options to see if there's any way to fix it as ideally I'd like it working off my Linux server.

UPDATE: Seem to have got it working on Linux with SMB if I use quotas which are slightly below the partition size. It also needs to be pointed to a sub folder of the partition else it tries to delete the lost+found folder where this fails.
