Anyone got this combo working?

I know the FTP on the WDMycloud device is fine - can access it from Mac and Windows machines ...

I out the right userid etc into the camera and it just fails to connect with a username/password combo error (honest the password/name is the same as i used elsewhere).

Have googled all over the place.. nada
 
Can you activate log on your WD server and see which command are sent by the DS-xxxxxx ?

If not can you sniff the network flow between WD and DS ?

If not can you install an FTP server on you PC and then check for log or sniff ?
 
Mostly no to those...

The camera is exhibiting some odd behaviour and it's dropped off the lan entirely and refuses to come back on.. suspect it has network issues TBH.

OK so nothing to do with FTP in particular if it's a general network failure.
