Hi I purchased a new camera and every few hours it reboots by itself.
There is no exact time it just happens randomly.
Any idea what the problem could be?

Connected by cable rj45 not wifi.
Version 5.7.1
connected with 12v 2a power supply

Apparently there's new firmware, the PTZ V5.7.11 Release Note (2022-09-18) states "Fixed the probabilistic abnormal boot phenomenon".

Since you said it's "new", I'd return the camera before I tried new firmware.

hi tony tnx
I didn't notice there was a new firmware thank you very much.
Even if I return it, I'm not sure I'll get it with the new firmware. In my opinion, it's worth updating the firmware

There's a slight risk to updating f/w which why I suggested returning it. But if that's not feasible, then of course updating the f/w would be the next step, especially since the camera is of no use the way it is.....

I updated the firmware, hope for the best.
Another question, I'm looking for a way to make the ptz move manually as long as I hold the button.
Right now one small click moves it a lot.
I use the hik-connect ios app
Tnx

I changed it but it just moves slower this is not the solution for me. I want it to move as long as I click and when I leave it will stop and it just continues

Responsiveness is based on how you have the camera setup within your network.

If you have it going thru your router and you scanned a QR code to set it up, then the camera is likely talking to the cloud, which can add a lag when you let go and it is still moving due to said lag.

Even in best case scenarios, IP cameras inherently have a lag compared to analog cameras, so there can always be that little bit that continues and with practice you will get the timing of it down.
