DS-2DF8C842IXS-AELW - reset button

Hi all,

Have a few DS-2DF8C842IXS-AELW T5 cameras. I don't know if it is a bad batch, but have found a few where after connecting them to a switch, the switch reports no traffic on the port it is connected to. Cannot access via SADP.

It is not the POE injector as I can successfully use that injector with other cameras.

I would like to reset them but don't know if there is a physical reset button or not. I see that several camera models have a reset button on the circuit board under the top cover, but I cannot find a button on the board. Is there a physical button for resetting? Has anyone heard of this issue with these cameras?

EDIT: when I plug the camera in, it appears to go through its startup routine; the wiper activates, the dome rotates etc.

Depends on the injector, if its 30W it wont work.

PoE 802.3 bt (Max. 51 W, including max. 12 W for IR and max. 8 W for heater)

This is what this camera specs says. So either 60 or 90W with standard of 802.3 bt


As it also says:

On-board StorageBuilt-in memory card slot, support microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC cards, up to 256 GB

Look for reset key near the slot.
