I have tried to upgrade the firmware of hikvision DVR DS-7108HGHI-E1 through lan wire using lan cable using TFTP and I also used usb to rs 232 cable to connect. All the process was fine and quite every process was monitored on putty, but at the stage 'update check' it gives an error and the upgrade cannot be finished.
Above all I would like to mention that the DVR cannot save any new settings like changing password, changing the dhcp on and off, changing ip address etc. Even when it is factory reset it does not reset to the factory default but retains to the specific state it is and it was.
This is my first post, but I have been reading and get lots of valuable info from the community. I expect a very well solution for my problem and I also hope anyone here might have encountered such problem.
