I´m working with Hikvision´s DS-KB8112-IM doobell.

For reasons that are not relevant to this topic, I´ve decided to access the device through the IVMS-4500 app and not Hik-Connect. Since I have other cameras I had to change the default server port from 8000 to 8010. Of course, I had to forward the ports on my router also to the corresponding IP and port of the device.

All works great in the local environment (ai when my phone is connected to my WIFI) but when I try to connect outside my house I get a connection error.

Is it possible that the device is configured to only accept LAN connections?

ps: I´ve already change the default DNS ips to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

I don't think that you can configure doorbell only to accept LAN connection.

Try to enable DHCP and see do platform access goes online. If does, you know what to change.

There is no option to enable or disable DHCP. I guess it's by default.

Your post encourage me to dig into the networking side of things and I found out that if put the IP of the doorbell in the DMZ list of the router, it works!

Conclusion:

There must be another (maybe more) ports that need to be forwarded to the doorbell. I'll look into that.

Thanks!

ps: FOUND IT! port 554

So, to sum up:

You need to forward ports 8000, 554 for the iVMS-4500 app to work with this doorbell. Port 554 was a particular port I did not have to forward with any of my other cameras.
