I set everything up and it was working perfectly fine for nearly 48h, then this morning at about 5am, everything stopped working.
Symptoms/Info:
NVR shows "no connection" for each camera on screen
NVR camera settings says "the camera doesn't exist" when clicking any of the IP addresses for the camera
There are no lights showing on the ethernet ports on the switch side of the NVR for the cameras
The LAN ethernet port works fine and shows lights
The ethernet lights on the switch side of the NVR light up if I connect the LAN cable directly to it
Only the NVR shows up in sadp once I connect the network cable
I have an 12 port switch there for my house, the ports light up when I connect the cameras directly to my switch, but they show nothing when connected to the switch side of the NVR
If I plug the cameras directly in to my switch, they show up in sadp
The version and build on both my cameras and my NVR are the same as when they were working fine
On boot, all ports light up for a moment then turn off and do not show any connection or data transfer
There is a solid red light just behind the SATA cable for the HDD
Could not view recorded video on all cameras bar one
NVR Software Version: V3.0.15 Build 150528
Camera model: DS-2CD2132
Camera Software version: V5.2.3 Build 141024
Camera Encoding Version: V5.0 build 140714
MTU: 1500
Pref DNS: 8.8.8.8
Can't access NVR web GUI, it loads like it does for the cameras but doesn't show anything on the screen (doens't ask for username or password) attempted this in both firefox and in chrome
Troubleshooting:
Rebooted the NVR
Test each individual ethernet port on the switch side of the NVR with a camera (does not work at all)
Test each individual ethernet port on the switch side of the NVR with the network cable to my switch (all work fine)
Tested each individual camera on the my 12 port switch (they all show up in sadp)
Factory defaulted the NVR (no change)
Factory defaulted a camera via the camera's web GUI (still shows up in sadp if connected to the switch, nothing in ethernet port switch side of NVR)
Couldn't fix the issue via the defaulted camera
Set up defaulted camera to be the same as the other cameras that were working previously
Cannot see cameras in iVMS4200 unless they are connected to the 12 port switch, can see NVR if network cable is plugged in on the switch side of the NVR or if it is on the LAN side of the NVR
Reseated cables for HDD
Changed HDD SATA socket on motherboard
Reinitialized HDD
Connected HDD to original sata cable and socket, reinitialized
All settings are the exact same as they were during the last known good configuration
I am now completely out of ideas and could use some help
