Good morning everyone,

Anyone have a work around for getting notifications from a couple hikvision cameras when it address filtering is enabled? Just want to receive some type of notification when a couple of the exception events happen like full hdd or a hdd error. As soon as I enabled it address filtering, the e-mail test failed. I am guessing because I can't list my email address servers ip? Would seem that IP address filtering would only filter incoming traffic though?

Thanks in advance for any assistance,
Dan

What is "address filtering"?

Something on the camera?

On the router?
It is on the camera. It limits the IP addresses that can access the camera. Unless they are in the list, they can't "see" the camera.

By way of further explanation, if I could find an email server/forwarder (or any other service) with a known ip, I could add it to the ip filtering list on my hikvisions and the problem would be solved. Big problem with an email service like gmail or others is they use multiple IPs. I was able to confirm today that the IP address filtering is inhibiting email notification from my hiks.

Thanks,
Dan
