Ptz425DB-AT PTZ controls stopped working and when I log into the camera directly I can get no image form anywhere within the camera. However I do get an image in BI and tracking seems to be working. I've rest the cam endless times, I tried every cam setting in BI, I've tried multiple browsers and multiple computers to no avail.

Please help. :(

EDIT - Should have mentioned that PTZ is set to Dahua New V4

Multiple browsers including the old internet explorer? Have you also delete the plugin for the camera on Internet Explorer and re-download it again to see if it work?

I reloaded the firmware then did a redetect and it started working again. But after the redetect, the setting are all different. They're not the same as they were before PTZ stopped working.
Some time ago PTZ stopped working and the fix was to select PTZ Dahua New V4. This time this setting apparently had nothing to do with the problem.

Andy, are you listening?

Current settings are -

The plug in only works for Explorer.

Open explorer and delete all of the extensions and then close and reopen to camera IP

I don't use Internet explorer, never have and never will.

Found some instructions on The Dahua Wiki that said delete the webrec folder but I can't because it's being used by god only knows what. I'm rebooting the server and will try again. I'm assuming that once I do the web page will ask to install the plugin but who knows. I did nothing to create this problem and nothing was updated. :(

EDIT - After the reboot i was able to delete the webrec folder and then got the message to allow video something to load and I answered yes and then I was able to DL the webplugin and now it's working.

Problem now is next time i run into this problem i will have forgotten how to do it. Thank for the help.

You do realize the firmware was designed around Explorer and why the plug-in only works for Explorer....doesn't mean it won't work with other browsers, but when there are problems, Explorer or Pale Moon browser will work..

Are you sure the camera, BI or windows didn't update?

I use Vivaldi and it probably did update but even it was the problem, how was it fixed without updating anything else? The firmware I flashed was the same as was already loaded in the cam and I'm running Windows 2012 R2 which doesn't update at all. Last time this happened it was also out of the blue and also left me without a clue as to what happened.

As for Explorer, it's a dead browser, I doubt anybody uses it anymore. Pale Moon i haven't tried but will if this happens again.

Bang your head against the wall all you want. Internet Explorer works with every Dahua camera I have and if it ain't broke, I'm not going to "fix" it.
