The EU needs to think long and hard about their NAZI censorship. If they want to destroy their own countries, thats fine by me.

But FUCK the EU if they think we're going to play along

The EU is desperate for war, any war. They need it to justify printing money, feeding their own MIC, and censoring their peasants.
Kinda like the US…

So much dumb going on over there... deserves its own thread

Really @bigredfish ?

Is it so easy to comment on another country or continent taking preventive measures against a possible war?
Here for 3 years there has been a heavy war... a war that no one wanted, but Russia broke the signed peace treaties and invaded a neighboring country.

where about a million Ukrainians died defending the territory of their country from the invasion of the Russians (Casualties of the Russo-Ukrainian War - Wikipedia).

where Putin constantly threatens to attack other countries (Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Moldova).

where we have the history of 2 World Wars, where the Russians greatly increased their zones of influence in large parts of Europe. These countries were forced to join the Russian Eastern Bloc (Eastern Bloc - Wikipedia) under the leadership of Russia insisting on the principles of communism.

I was born in Poland in 1978, in a communist country that was an iron border with the West. Russian troops were stationed on Polish territory. A normal person could not get a passport to travel abroad. In primary school, I had compulsory Russian as a second language of study (I only learned English in high school).

In 1989, 10 million Poles opposed the dictatorship and that year the first democratic elections were held, where the power was taken over from the communists by the "Solidarity" party. We broke the alliance with Russia and changed the constitution.

And Poland began the long and difficult path back. In 1997 we got an invitation to NATO. In 1998 we began negotiations on joining the European Union. In 1999 we joined NATO. In 2004 we joined the European Union.

During that time we had to rebuild the entire economy (from the low-efficiency agricultural and industrial one). Build a new legal system. Reform education, schooling, judiciary. Adapt everything to the modern standards of a modern democratic country. And to the standards of the European Union.

Ukrainians did exactly the same. They wanted to gain independence. They wanted to rebuild their country based on the model of other countries. Unfortunately, they did it later (2004 - Orange Revolution Orange Revolution - Wikipedia).

The former power of Russia had already fallen by then. This country has nothing but gas and oil.. And a nuclear arsenal from the Cold War with the USA.

Apart from Moscow and a few large cities in Russia there is nothing there - education/healthcare/judiciary/availability of well-paid work - it is at the level we had in Poland 50 years ago.

The fact that Putin is attacking a foreign independent country fighting for its independence, which is Ukraine, is the result of his weakening position. And that Russian society was increasingly dissatisfied with the standard of living and isolation. And the fact that the entire national wealth was stolen by a narrow group of Russian oligarchs (Russian oligarchs - Wikipedia).

If Putin had not attacked Ukraine, he would probably have been replaced by a new leader today. Attacking Ukraine was the only way to stop social movements in Russia. In this way, Putin stayed in power. Killing a million Ukrainians in the process and destroying this country completely.

I have a request - do not write such things as you write here. You have never been to Europe. You do not know our history. You copy the populist narrative of your current president plus a bunch of nonsense from Russian trolls that flooded Twitter (x.com) and are 99% untrue. Not only here, but in many other threads on this forum where you discuss Europe.

Maybe instead of criticizing other countries/continents and copying populist pap - it would be worth taking an interest in what is wrong in your own country. I have been to the USA 10 times, I have traveled far and wide. And believe me, many things are wrong in the USA. Below the level of an average country in Europe.

You have the most expensive healthcare that 95% of society cannot afford. You have the most expensive army. You do not have a public healthcare system available to everyone. You do not have a global pension and disability system where everyone can work for their old age.

You have one of the highest levels of social inequality in civilized Western countries. The top ten percent of American families controlled nearly 70 percent of the wealth in the US in 2022.

The current president is implementing a plan to reduce taxes for the wealthiest Americans. And increase profits for them at the expense of the rest of society. And most of society is happy about the fact that in a month the US, which was the best ally of all Western countries, has become the biggest enemy. And a troll and bully!

It is really worth focusing on your own backyard. And stop pointlessly copying the populist narrative and Russian trolls who flooded Twitter (x.com). And start thinking and being interested in how the world looks from different points of view.

I write about the problems in our country A LOT more than anyone here. I don’t think you read my posts about the US.

I don’t think Russia has any intention to invade the EU. He hasn’t yet, but he can be provoked like anyone

I have read history for 50 years. It’s not new to me

I respect Poland more than just about any EU country and have since the 90’s. I remember cheering for Lek Walesa

I respect you sir, but we can disagree. And here in the US we cherish our free speech. I see EU attacking US policy and officials often, Trump, Musk , others

I get news from dozens of sources. Including the EU sources. All of the content articles on this page are direct quotes from EU sources

Show me where to get better news and I’ll gladly read it

Thank you for your comments

Question:
Where do you get your US news ?

The EU is desperate for war, any war. They need it to justify printing money, feeding their own MIC, and censoring their peasants.
Kinda like the US…
Yep. Here's timely example:
Seven GOP Establishment Senators Anonymously Attack Vice President Vance

One snip: "In other words, they are concerned that Vance has an “isolationist” rather than globalist worldview. One anonymous Republican senator told the outlet that “a number of Republican senators are very concerned.”"

In my own other words, it's like we have a bunch of playground bullies, the world being their playground, who want to provoke and attack to prove their superiority, masculinity, or whatever, enriching themselves along the way. As with other political things, a required step of trying to defeat someone in your way is to apply a label. In this case, if you want to avoid war, you're an isolationist, and "everybody" knows that's very bad.

I'm commenting on a few things from this post below.

"Here for 3 years there has been a heavy war... a war that no one wanted, but Russia broke the signed peace treaties and invaded a neighboring country."
Didn't USA+NATO first break an agreement about limiting NATO expansion to the east? I'm no Russia or Putin fan, but it seems so obvious to me that expanding NATO to a Russian land border is a blatant provocation that can be only seen as intended aggression.

"where about a million Ukrainians died defending the territory of their country from the invasion of the Russians (Casualties of the Russo-Ukrainian War - Wikipedia)."
Only a general wikipedia comment. Wikipedia is a great resource for technical and nonpolitical historical info. Anything political is likely biased toward liberalism and globalism.
It is not to be trusted.

"Maybe instead of criticizing other countries/continents and copying populist pap - it would be worth taking an interest in what is wrong in your own country. I have been to Europe many times. There are a lot of things "wrong" that you don't see, possibly because they are just normal for you. And I totally agree about many things wrong with USA. Europe has some wonderful things that I wish were in the USA, and USA has many things that Europe would be better off with. I disagree with the "average level" comment. Both USA and Europe are slowly sliding deeper into socialism, with Europe a number of years ahead. I think the European countries are ruining themselves giving more and more power to the EU. You've thrown away your beautiful identities and cultures for more power and stuff right now. That same disease has considerably weakened the USA.

"You have the most expensive healthcare that 95% of society cannot afford. "
Agreed, but I'd also ask if the European countries would have their current healthcare systems had they been fully paying for their own defense over the past decades? It's a complex mess in the USA, with healthcare companies extorting large profits, then kicking money back to the politicians to allow and support the extortion. USA allows prescription drugs to be advertised on television, and a lot of what I'm calling the extorted money is used to support left-leaning globalist "news" organizations that generate the propaganda that ends up as "news" in Europe. In virtually every case, identical prescription drugs cost much more in the USA than in any other country. A big part of the healthcare system is money laundering for the liberals and globalists.

"You do not have a global pension and disability system where everyone can work for their old age."
That's news to me.

"You have one of the highest levels of social inequality in civilized Western countries. The top ten percent of American families controlled nearly 70 percent of the wealth in the US in 2022."
I don't know that the numbers are correct, but yes, it's a problem. I see it as a combination of corrupt politicians and corporate heads, enables by stupid voters and consumers.

"The current president is implementing a plan to reduce taxes for the wealthiest Americans. And increase profits for them at the expense of the rest of society. "
This is an example of the propaganda you're fed. Yes, the "Trump tax cuts" do help the wealthiest. Proportionally, they help the middle class more. They don't help below middle class because they're already getting a free ride. Then every time a new welfare program is introduced by the liberals, it encourages more people to drop out of middle class into the free ride, an obvious spiral to the bottom.

"And most of society is happy about the fact that in a month the US, which was the best ally of all Western countries, has become the biggest enemy. And a troll and bully!"
Do you mean specifically US society? I'm often embarrassed by Trump's behavior and wish he'd tone it down. Yet, I see a rationale to it. The US has its 2 political parties, which both work hard to keep any others locked out. My estimation is that ~95% of Democrat politicians are corrupt and liars, while 50% of Republican politicians are corrupt and liars. Both parties are taking us to the same place (same place Europe is headed to), just one party is doing it faster. Every time there's an election, the Democrats use fear and lies to increase their vote count. The Republicans (as a whole, there are still plenty of slimeballs) don't lie and attack as much, and lose the elections. The democrats are squealing about Trump's behavior. All he's doing is acting like them, neutralizing their perverted behavior advantage, and they don't like that a bit. So I'm often embarrassed by his behavior, and always embarrassed by the Democrats' behavior.

"It is really worth focusing on your own backyard. And stop pointlessly copying the populist narrative and Russian trolls who flooded Twitter (x.com). And start thinking and being interested in how the world looks from different points of view."
Agreed, for both of us. I can tell you that I have relatives in 2 of the EU countries, the "news" from there is read in our house, and Europe is being fed and originates mostly horsepoop about what's happening in USA. Something that happens too often is some global media organization publishes a totally false huge headline story. Then after they're outed, they publish a short retraction buried when few will see it. In the interim, this story gets propagated by hundreds of other media outlets. The retractions don't get propagated and the totally false propaganda stands unchallenged.

You have the most expensive healthcare that 95% of society cannot afford.
You do not have a public healthcare system available to everyone.

It can be expensive. Thanks mostly to President Obama, a socialist, who destroyed our healthcare system.
But its not even close to 95% cant afford, False. Its closer to 30% that have trouble with paying for health care.
There are many reasons for this and its complex.
Emergency care is still available for Free for most regardless
2reports-of-problems-paying-for-health-care-highest-among-those-in-lower-income-households-and...png
We dont have or believe in 100% Socialized medicine. We hear the stories from UK and Canada where they do and wait a very long time to get subpar care
While it can be expensive, for some its due to a choice of how/where to spend their money and what coverage they choose. Many choose not to pay for insurance at all and then complain when the bill comes. And yes a small percentage, like all over the world, do not get timely or good healthcare due to various reasons.

If you work, Employers generally cover 1/2 of your healthcare cost, and deduct your half out of your check. I am retired and paying about the same I did when I was working under employer subsidized care. About $450-$500 p/mo. That is Traditional Govt provided Medicare and a supplement policy to cover 100% of ALL of my medical costs. Period. No matter what. I watched my parents get $100,000 medical bills with the same coverage, it was 100% paid for.
*If you dont work and dont have employer health insurance, it can be very expensive yes. Thats a good reason to work!

Drugs are the one problem for some, that's because the US is charged a LOT more for medicines than the rest of the world. We offset everyone else's costs. You’re welcome!
But if you don't take expensive drugs, its nothing. Mine are $10 p/mo

You have the most expensive army.
Yes we do. But we are trying to downsize that and it will probably mean cutting some of our foreign deployments

You do not have a global pension and disability system where everyone can work for their old age.
Yes we do, its called Social Security. And contrary to all of the garbage lies about it, it works ok. But its not meant to subsidize a lavish/rich lifestyle that some think it should. If you expect it to pay for your bad choices at retirement age, like a $500K mortgage, $75,000 New cars, new $1000 phones, then No.

My wife and I get checks totaling $5000 per month from it. Quite average for a working couple (actual National average is $4000 p/mo but many get more. Its dependent on how much you made while working). Our budget allows us to live well, not paying attention to what we eat or buy, is about $4000 p/mo. So we live well and dont have to touch our savings that grows and pays interest each year. *(Many choose not to save for retirement or not as much, that's their choice. So its harder for them)
This is because we made good choices and payed off all of our debt before we retired. Some don't make such good choices.
*( We inherited nothing 0$. LOL there was no money in our family. In fact we were until their death, subsidizing both of our parents. We did not hit the lottery, we just made some good choices along the way)

You have one of the highest levels of social inequality in civilized Western countries.
Social inequality... hmmm
Hmmm Thats far too complex to go into here, But again because we aren't socialists, we each have to make our own way in life. Some are luckier, some are smarter, some less so. There are many factors around ones success in life. Some you control others you can not. Race, Religion, Sex are all protected classes here. It is illegal to discriminate. Not saying it doesnt happen, but its very minor. Mostly its a left wing socialist talking point to get more free shit
On wealth, there are a lot of numbers thrown around, mostly by Socialist Left wing groups, to show that the wealthy are the root of all evil. They forget that the system we live under is what made us the wealthiest and most prosperous country on the Earth. If you take away incentive to succeed, people get lazy. As you promise more free services and cradle to grave Govt sponsored benefits, people work less. Its harder than socialism, and some dont like for it to be hard or to have to work for it. Some think we should all make the same $ regardless of what we contribute, and all have the same things. They are delusional. Those are usually the people who quote BS numbers.

The top ten percent of American families controlled nearly 70 percent of the wealth in the US in 2022.
Again a VERY complex issue and whie I agree there is a huge wealth disparity in the US, I dont get mad at or covet what others have worked to achieve. I'm glad they were able to get rich!
It means I have the same opportunity! I'm not even mad at those who make a LOT more than I do. Good for them.
The disparity grew substantially over the Covid years worldwide. Yes undoubtedly some was greed and theft.

Wealth inequality is generally measured on the Gini coefficient. 0 Being best. The US isnt near the top. Some surprises there ;)

As to the top 10% of wealth - The US is quite average
Wealth share of the richest 10%
US is about 71%
Poland is about 62%

Worldwide average - it hasnt changed much in 30 years - just that the Internet allows more people to yell louder ;)

I should have put that in my own reply. Health insurance costs were at least doubled by obamacare, and deductibles skyrocketed by several multiples. Did that extra money go to medical care for low income people? No, most of it went into the money laundering system to enrich the insurers and politicians. Most Europeans adored and fawned over obama. What he did was divide the US population over multiple issues and increase race hatred, allowing the liberals to enact all sorts of social crap while the population was fighting against itself. And the whole time we kept hearing how wonderful he was from people in Europe.
