I monitor a remote location several hundreds of miles away. Running 4 cameras over 512kb up causes the video to drop frames for several seconds so I plan to locate a PC on site and ftp recorded video to my local machine. The location is located in the woods so we see bears, deer, etc. but my problem comes in reviewing all of that footage. There are 300 or so videos a day due to shadows and fluctuations in the light (tuning BI to catch wildlife but skip shadows is probably another thread). BI makes it easy to spot wildlife in the Clips section because it highlights the biggest motion using in the thumbnail of the video. How do I do that with video transferred to my local machine? I'm happy to buy another copy of BI but I don't know how to import that data and generate the thumbnail previews that show the biggest movement.
