Hello,

I was wondering if there is any type of device that can extend an analog UTP camera over 300ft. Reason I ask is, I have a dozen analog camera that was installed over 300ft from the NVR, using an underground burial cat5e. The picture looks crappy for 4MP cameras.. I was told by a tech. there might be some type of extender device.. but I thought that is only relevant to IP cameras, and not Analog cameras that rely on twisted pairs? Anyhow, attached is a screenshot of what I am seeing for a 4MP camera analog cameras.

Is that SmartPSS you are using to view the cameras? It looks like you are viewing a low resolution stream.

What are the DVR and camera models?

My experience with analog HDCVI cameras is that its all or nothing. Either I get a signal or I dont. You should be able to run HDCVI cameras at least 1000 ft over cat5 with passive baluns.
