Hi, I am desperately hoping you can help me,
We are a ageing school that was built 12 years ago,
We currently watch our cctv on a 12 year old computer that takes 10 mins to boot up and 20 mins before its in a position to watch anything and then some times the network card wont work unless we reboot it again, not that it’s the one in the pc as it’s a usb one as the onboard one died some time ago!
Its needs replacing, and it was we purchased a new computer 3 years ago, 2 years after that, we managed to get the software installed on it, so we could try and move over to it. So that one has the 3.71 client, but a year later we still cannot use it, as we don’t have the passwords for our cctv units.
Is there any way I can pull the passwords used on our old computer to access the cctv units so we can enter them on the new computer?
The current computer is running IVMS-4200 Version 2.6.1.6
About 4 years ago, the people who maintain the cctv came out and said it was so old that they could do no more with it and recommend that we stop paying for our service as it was pointless, but unsurprising they won’t tell us the passwords as we don’t pay them, I don’t think they have them anymore, but they were the ones who told us to stop paying them!
I did try exporting the settings using the tool in the software but it did not work when I imported it.
I have also spent this morning trying to get the SADP software to work, after watching some youtube videos which mention a tool on this site, but it never seems to detect any thing, I have tried it on the old cctv pc, my current pc and a laptop it does not seem to detect any boxs, i have even tried using the old V 2 of the software as they old box's. But old or latest version it does not detect anything. We currently reliant on the fact the password is saved in the IVMS software, on a pc that is going to die, is there any way to pull the passwords out of the software for the CCTv box's we have 3?
