Hello, and thanks in advance for any insight. I have an installation where the Axis p1367 are installed inside pointing out at large glass doorways. Unfortunately, there are a few things that can not be done at this time:
  1. Change the camera position
  2. Add artificial light to compensate for the backlight
  3. Add shading or other tools to deflect the sun entering the doorway/windows
I am experiencing significant backlight on the images, and mother nature and the sun do not help throughout the day. I have played with WDR and with the backlight it doesn't help much. Images are still pretty dark. Are there any other settings, lenses, cameras that will fight the backlight?

You could try using custom exposure zones. You highlight a specific area and the camera will adjust for the region selected. The other part of the image may be washed out but at least exposure may be ok where required (eg internally).
