Alright some feedback. I've updated my cam to the following. I've not had a chance to look during the day but I have to say images are sharper depending on what I'm looking at at night. I've not had a chance to hit that led init button yet. I'll post some more pics tomorrow for comparison.

Did the camera come with that bracket or did you have to buy it separately?

And they charge a pretty penny too for what is essentially some folded sheet metal with holes drilled and tapped. If the location wasn't such a pain to get to I'd have looked more into making up a bracket.

I could have lived with that had I known about it. That Dahua bracket cost me 3 times what you paid shipped from AE

What kind of fitting do you use and how do you get it over the end of the harness. how do you keep the rain out when installing in an exposed area.
Thanks

Typically, the mounting bracket comes with the cam. You may also need a junction box that mounts to the corner mount first, then the arm for the PTZ.

I have mine set up like yours but I was unable to find a clean way of getting the wiring harmess into the box. I notice you were able to put a fitting on this harness. How did you do it?

I've had the same problem, and have found a solution for fitting a cable that already has a connector fitted. They are called Split Gland, and are made by Pflitsch. They have different rubber inserts for them.

The only problem with those fittings is, that they are quite expensive a piece, so i went for the alternative route. With the PFA120 junction box and the PFA151 corner mount :D

Thank you for your response. Although the PFA 120 gets the harness into a box, what do you do to weather proof the large opening in the back? There are some images of a gromet but I wouldn't use this type of fitting outdoors. This should be a common concern. There is a water tight cover in the front and a hole in the back that will allow the box to fll with water during the first rain storm. Is the water tight cover designed to hold the water in? lol
