Fire truck rams car for not giving way

What was so hard for the driver behind the wheel of his car?

The car driver has to see that firetruck but he keeps creeping up toward it! The fireman should have pushed the prick into the next county. Every second counts when first reponders are trying to get to the scene. It could be to the prick's house or to his unresponsive spouse or child!

That's beyond stupid of the car driver.

Hey! I recognize that-- I grew up about 5-6 miles from that location.

The car driver is certainly an asshole, but the engineer could easily have backed up a couple feet. I know that my department policy is that if you are involved in any type of collision, you are immediately out of service/mechanical. That doesn't help anyone. As one of the older guys once put it, "it does not good to get halfway there very quickly."

Hmmm... the driver moves their vehicle into the path of a responding emergency vehicle... For what $#*@ purpose? Not to mention it is a painted traffic island surrounded by double yellow lines. Entitlement at it's finest!

There is not enough federal Q (siren) in that video! It has quite the persuasive influence at full RPM's. You can hear it winding up at the 18 sec mark, just as the air horns start to wane due to low air pressure. The officer (passenger seat) should have been standing on that siren foot switch!

We have a stretch of interstate in town, most all collisions result in the breakdown lane filling up. A screaming federal Q is the most effective means to opening up the lane

Indeed!

In my experience, the air horns give quite a bit of extra "oomph" when needed as well.

Exactly! 2 sets of double yellow lines is suposed to not be crossed just as if it were curb-height or median-height concrete!

That car driver needs either a ticket or their ass kicked....either is suitable, IMO.
