Hello. Trying to find the latest firm, ware for a 6AE830VNI ir ptz dome. I went to the Dahua-Wiki site an it showed two files ( both .bin files).
One was listed as for the PTZ but was a mere 49k in size. The other was listed under "main" and was only 5900k. My current firmware says build date of 2018-01-30.

The issues I am having are mostly with PTZ control over RS485. I am using a Pelco CM6800 matrix with Pelco KBD300a joysticks (Pelco P @4800 baud). The unit will not zoom and pan simultaneously. Nor does the focus work continuously if the focus is held down. It will move the focus a tiny bit and then I have to let it up and then press again to get it a tiny bit more. So I have to press the focus (= or -) rapidly like a machine gun to get the focus to change. Also auto-focus seems to not work very well. Picture is very nice otherwise so this is troubling.

I have two other Dahua PTZs that don't have this problem, a CVI PTZ and another 4k IR dome that is a slightly later model than the above one.

I also have a Dahua stationary zoom camera which does have that same problem with the focus. It is odd. But I am hoping a firmware update will handle this. The Pelco PTZs work well as do some Hik domes (most Hikvision PTZ domes spin out of control on the above setup when panning and tilting and zooming at the same time though the Hikvision positioners work okay.

Any help on firmware would be very appreciated.

Anyone have any clues where I can get the latest firmware for the above mentioned Dahua SD6AE830VNI 8MP PTZ? The unit pans and tilts and zooms but will only do one of these at a time and not simultaneously. It seems like a firmware issue I think. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

My guess is that this camera might be at the longest range of your setup and might be out of the scope of your PTZ controller. Something to try is make change in the PTZ to work at Pelco d and 2400 baud and see if that helps any. also might need to add in a 120Ohm resistor between A + B at the camera..

However to start out, I would change the connection type to Pelco D if able and setup for 2400, This is good because slower and PelcoD is less complex then Pelco P.. However if your camera is at the end of the Run or Longest run for your devices I would look into adding the Resistor as that might be all that is needed to correct your setup.

Just some ideas.
