Firmware upgrade questions?

I have a DS-2CD2132-I purchased from Nelly’s currently on version V5.1.2 build 140116 / V5.0 build 140110.

With 5.1.2 I have no test buttons available so my question is which version should I or (would you) upgrade to? 5.1.6 or 5.2.0

Another question I think I already know the answer to. After upgrading can I import the config file I backed up from the 5.1.2 firmware to the new firmware 5.1.6 / 5.2.0, or should the config files only be used with the firmware they were created with? I assume the answer to this is similar to up grading a router where one shouldn’t, and reconfigure from scratch.

The inclusion of "test" buttons to test out network connections (e-mail, FTP, NFS) is a nice benefit in the 5.2.0 version.

Yes that is what I noticed I have been missing. I was able to setup email notifications and NFS without them. Would just make it more convenient. Thanks for your reply.
