First failure in over 5 years, could use some advice

I've had a series of computer and BI issues lately that has me now stuck trying to reinstall BI5 but I get the message that I've used the license too many times. It's only on one computer, so it's not like I'm misusing the license. I've emailed BI support, and so far all they've done is provide me with the license - which I already have. Has anyone else experienced this? I appreciate any help you can afford.
 
Did you de-activate BI before you uninstalled it and re-installed it?

Thank you for your response! I didn't think to de-activate it. I had also deleted the BI5 registry items after uninstalling. I had made a copy of the registry items and tried putting them back after he re-insallation, but I'm still stuck. I have an email in to support asking them to reset my license attempts so I can try again. I love the software, and really want to keep using it.
 
I think you’re probably going to have to wait for them. The license validation is on their end and I assume some flag gets set when it sees another activation.
